The frame/cage assembly was designed and built by Foutz Motorsports of 1-3/4-inch 4130, .120-inch wall chromemoly for the ultimate combination of weight, strength and safety. The ultra-lightweight body is a completely custom-built carbon fiber masterpiece, bringing the truck’s total weight to a mere 4800 pounds with a full load (including 55 gallons of race gas). Powered by a 4.5L Ford V6, featuring a dry sump oil system, the engine boasts an astounding 550 horsepower and 500 foot-pounds of torque while a beefed-up Ford C-6 automatic delivers the power. The truck’s state-of-the-art suspension affords an amazing 28-inches of front wheel-travel and 36-inches in the rear while specially constructed Bilstein shock absorbers take on the toughest terrain with ease. The truck is capable of 110 miles per hour over some pretty rough terrain and Wilwood disc brakes—front and rear bring this monster to a stop on a dime. The truck competes in Best In The Desert Class 7 Unlimited and proves to be a real crowd pleaser at every race.
