Off-road racing is, deep rooted in the Swift family. It all began with Ray Swift as he pioneered the historic Mexican 1000 races in the 1960’s. Ray’s success and passion was inevitably passed along to his son John who led the family team to several impressive Baja victories. John went on to race with the legendary BFG/Ford “Rough Riders” Off-Road Race Team where his innovative Ford Explorer Trophy Truck won its inaugural race and three successive Class 6 titles. John continues a strong involvement in the sport but has recently passed the torch along to his son Jonathan. Jonathan has already claimed two championships —and he’s just getting started....
