The Swift Explorer is considered to be a legend by many. Featured in numerous magazines, television programs, and websites, it has become a recognizable icon to the entire desert racing community. With over 25 wins between 1991 and 2005, the Explorer has gained a great deal of fame. Most notably however, the Swift Explorer once claimed victory to three consecutive Class-6 Championships.  Originally built to as a Class-6 vehicle, the Explorer was so successful, it eventually moved up to Trophy-Class status, finishing within the top ten during the ’94 race season. In 2004 the Swift Explorer took the Championship title for the 3100 Class and claimed another Championship for the 7200 Class in 2005. With the completion of the new Swift Ranger, the Explorer has been retired for the most part, making special appearances here and there at certain races and events. Built over 15-years ago, the Explorer continues to command the interest of fellow racers and builders, with it’s astonishingly innovative suspension and chassis design.
